Not sure on weather at this point - but Captain says there are "zillions"
of Dovekies offshore!!! Didn't know he could count that high. Still room.


SPECIAL ANNOUCMENT: MARYLAND PELAGIC TRIP

WHY: The seas have not been on our side so far this winter - we know there
are good numbers of alcids lurking just offshore!! We will try again. And
in early March some birds might be moving North already.

We have had good success the past two winters with alcids in the nearshore
waters of Maryland. 14 Common Murres and 99 Razorbills on 2/26/11, 1,516
Dovekies on 2/2/12, etc., etc.

WHAT: Nearshore (30-45 miles offshore) pelagic in Maryland ONLY waters,
on the 55� Morning Star, with Captain Monty Hawkins, veteran captain of
pelagics off Maryland.

WHEN: March 2, 2013 (Saturday). 11.5-hour trip. Leave 6 am, return 5:30
pm. Be at dock by 5:45 am. No weather date.

COST : $125 per person (payable to Morning Star) plus $15 to Mark Hoffman
for mate tip and chum (payable by cash or check day of to Mark Hoffman).
Max head count 21; co-leaders Hafner and Brighton.

HOW: Phone Morning Star reservation desk at 410-520-2076 with credit card
info; you will also need to provide cell phone number to Morning Star
reservation desk so you can be contacted in case we know Friday the trip is
a no-go for Saturday.

WHERE: Morningstar is docked at the West Ocean City Fishing Center . Turn
right at last light before bridge into Ocean City . Take left into parking
area and fishing center. The Morning Star is by the Travel Lift, Dock B,
