After seeing that Kye Jenkins had relocated the Harlequin Duck at North Beach, I figured I'd give it a shot again. I ran down there after work on Tuesday and the conditions were horrid. The wind was whipping in from the east and there were huge breakers crashing up onto the seawall. Very few ducks of any species.

Swung by there again this morning. Conditions were almost optimal. The wind was blowing about 10 mph from the west so the water was fairly calm. Hundreds of mostly mixed scaup strung out to the north and south of the pier but despite scanning through the flocks several times, I was unable to find the Harley.

Since it's been seen at Herrington Harbor down to North Beach, there's a lot of territory to cover and it's not all easily accessible. The little bugger is there somewhere.
