Raptor Observations: Very nice February migration day
Non-raptor Observations: 16 White-winged Crossbills, flying down to the ground, picking up gumballs and taking them back up to the tree. 5000 Red-winged Blackbirds and 6250 Common Grackles flying north in numerous flocks. Long-tailed Duck on pond.

Site Description Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays.
