Raptor Observations:
First Ospreys of the season arriving on the same date as the first one last season. Second one was carrying a fish. Immature Peregrine Falcon perched in a tree.

Non-raptor Observations:
Long-tailed Duck sitting on a heap of vegetation at the edge of the pond. About 4000 Common Grackles, 350 Red-winged Blackbirds, and 450 blackbird species, all heading north in about 50 different flocks.� Complete ebird checklist:� http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S13225060

Site Description
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at the
mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best winds are
from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays.
