Subject: [MDBirding] Ebird question: How to "Explore Data" on mobile

I was hoping someone might have an answer to this since I couldn't seem to find anything online about it. I would like to be able to use the "Explore Data" feature of Ebird in the field using my Android smartphone, however, simply visiting the Ebird website on my mobile browser (Google Chrome) will not work. Even with 3G or 4G, it loads VERY slowly and eventually just hangs, plus I can't access the individual checklists for a particular species at a particular spot, if / when they are displayed. Am I doing something wrong or is this just not possible? I have seen the new BirdLog app which allows you to submit checklists in the field but I am not ready to commit the $19.99 for this app yet, especially if it doesn't have the full functionality of ebird, or most of it anyway, including "Explore Data."

Thanks a lot, off-line replies are welcome.
