Wayne is correct. iGoogle will be going away in June of this year.
Fortunately, we've been told that google gadgets that are already created
and hosted elsewhere will continue to work. The original rarities gadget
had a feature to change regions outside of the gadget settings. I believe
this is what Wayne is referring to. I don't know of another gadget that
supports this, though you can change the State in most of them by going to
"settings". The current MD rarities gadget that I've tweaked with
permission is based off a gadget written by Zachary Debruine. He has
published his latest iteration, called BirdTrax, on his blog
http://www.birdventurebirding.com/p/birdtrax.html . It's definitely worth
a look if you haven't come across it yet.
