Subject: Re: [MDBirding] Western Grebe Hains Point

I birded the entire perimeter of Hain's Point thoroughly this morning with no luck at finding a Western Grebe. There was still a decent assortment of waterfowl around the point, including 3 Horned Grebes, Pied-billed Grebe, thousands of Scaup, a male Ring-necked Ducked hiding with the Scaup, 4 Buffleheads, 3 male Red-breasted Mergansers (just south of the marina on the east side) and a male Green-winged Teal (right at the point).

Constitution gardens was also interesting with both Scaup species, 50 or so Ring-necked Ducks, 5 Ruddy Ducks, and 10 Buffleheads. The Buffleheads were fun to watch as the males were performing their display posturing.
