Dean,

It's a "Mallard." There are many of this type within the marinas,
waterfront parks, and populated coves of the Susquehanna and North East
Rivers up here in the arm pit of Maryland (picture the eastern shore as the
right arm and central MD as the torso... lol).

Though, it doesn't appear to be a pure variety -based on the assortment of
feathered foliage it is sporting, the ducks all white breast is indicative
of a Mallard hybrid/variety that is specifically bred, for ornimental sake,
to have this field make. This Mallard type, referred to as a Swedish Duck,
is quite attractive (to me) when in it's "pure hybrid" -an oxymoron(?),
condition. Google it... 8)
