Here's an informative website regarding domestic/hybrid ducks:

Dean,
It's a "Mallard." There are many of this type within the marinas, waterfront parks, and populated coves of the Susquehanna and North East Rivers up here in the arm pit of Maryland (picture the eastern shore as the right arm and central MD as the torso... lol).
Though, it doesn't appear to be a pure variety -based on the assortment of feathered foliage it is sporting, the ducks all white breast is indicative of a Mallard hybrid/variety that is specifically bred, for ornimental sake, to have this field make. This Mallard type, referred to as a Swedish Duck, is quite attractive (to me) when in it's "pure hybrid" -an oxymoron(?), condition. Google it... 8)
Happy birding! Chris Starling Arm Pit, MD

I am trying to submit a photo here but I'm not having any luck. I have a photo of a waterbird that I took on Saturday in Havre De Grace. I'm not sure if it's a Northern Shoveler or not. It was seen with a group of mallards, etc. If possible, I'd like to send this for ID.
Thanks! Dean
