Birded the day in a variety of places. Most noteworthy were two Great Horned Owls calling at Daniels area of Patapsco in the afternoon. One on the Howard side and one on the Carroll side. Another odd daytime calling owl was a Screech way back in the woods. Maybe they know snow is coming?
Nothing new for birds but I found five salamanders.....this gorgeous Northern Red Salamander was stunning!!! http://flic.kr/p/dZVjSM
