I just talked to Rob Mardiney at Irvine Nature Center. For the next two weeks birders are welcome to visit Irvine before opening hours and stay after closing hours to search for American Woodcocks (AMWO) and the Short-eared Owl (SEOW). Birders are asked to email first with party size and estimated arrival and/or departure times. When you arrive at Irvine close the cable after you enter and after you leave.
