Weather:
Partly to mostly cloudy with bands of dark clouds coming and going; 40-46 degrees; excellent visibility; winds very strong from the NNW or NW, 16-20 mph, gusting to 35 mph

Raptor Observations:
First Northern Harrier of the year, a stunning male. An adult Peregrine Falcon swooping over a wetland. Vultures reluctant to cross the water in the strong winds, sometimes taking as long as half an hour to finally venture north.

Site Description
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at the
mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best winds are
from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays.
