Hi all,
I got to see (finally) 2 Purple Sandpipers on the Herrington Harbor South Jetty, southern Anne Arundel County. John who was with Joanne Howl spotted the bird first. Thanks to them and to Kathy Calvert for posting on ebird Friday I think. This post gave me the motivation to try for this bird ( a lifer). At least 22 Surf Scotors also and not sure on numbers for Scaups, and Buffleheads. 2-3 Horned Grebe also.
North Beach across from the public parking had hundreds of birds off shore. Coot, Scaup, Surf Scotors, a few Canvasbacks, 1 Long-tailed Duck, and at least 3 Horned Grebe. I am sure I missed some species.
