Subject: [MDBirding] Another great show this evening - Woodcocks, Canada geese and Tundra swans

What a great day to be alive! "Our" Woodcocks (three this evening) put on a spectacular series of displays, circling wide around the house and meadow, them circling high and falling with their wings twittering and squeaking. We could see them drop not 20 feet away in the meadow.

As with many of you, I saw thousands of Canada geese migrating north in long happy V formations all day yesterday and again today into the evening. Tundra swans could be heard far overhead, and just now I heard another flock heading north, also with joyous (anthropomorphic license here) calls.

Good Birding, All!
