Partly cloudy, lingering airplane contrails; 38-59 degrees; excellent visibility; winds mostly with an easterly component with the last three hours intensifying from the ESE, 0-13 mph

Raptor Observations:
Mostly steady flight throughout the day, sometimes distant with the easterly winds. 22 Black Vultures streaming through in the last hour.

Non-raptor Observations:
Near 1,000 Canada Geese heading north with one Cackling goose spotted by Dan Haas. Also hundreds of blackbirds, 3 Great Blue Herons, and 5 Tree Swallows. Red-throated Loon. Some flocks of Canvasbacks and scaup.

Site Description
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at the
mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best winds are
from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays.
