Hi all
I just had a single adult Yellow-crowned Night-Heron perched in a tree above Sligo Creek Parkway in Silver Spring, just south of the Beltway. There are several nests in trees here from last year's breeding activity. I checked other trees in the immediate vicinity, but only found the one night-heron.
I'm also pretty sure I heard a Pine Warbler singing distantly from the golf course across the street, but it only sang a couple of times and I was unable to track it down.
