Elda, I've had luck with just putting out orange halves. I usually start putting them out around the 2nd week of April.

Hi, I am interested in attempting to attract Baltimore Orioles to my yard. We have occasionally had them close by in our neighborhood. When should I start and what is the best bait? Is a large orange liquid feeder the best attraction or are oranges better?
Is it sort of a hopeless cause around here? Thanks. Elda Banks Colesville Silver Spring
