At Lake Artemesia, we noted the goose seen here in the attached photo among regular Canada's. By measuring its length and that of some of the Canada's and assuming that of the latter to be 45", I get 36" for the target goose. Its bill too is slightly but noticeable shorter. Putting it in the bank against the day when it, too, may someday be split off as a separate species.
