I forgot to mention that I saw a couple of Common Redpolls riding on the
backs of 3 Canada Geese this past weekend. It was tough to pick them out
of the thousands of geese flying north, but their little pink aviator
scarfs stood out.

My proof, as quoted from a USGS website (
http://www.npwrc.usgs.gov/resource/birds/migratio/ideas.htm), "Some people
who easily accepted the migratory travels of larger birds were unable to
understand how smaller species, some of them notoriously poor flyers, could
make similar journeys. They accordingly conceived the idea that larger
species (e.g., storks and cranes) carried their smaller companions as
living freight."

And it's not even April 1st yet.
