Not a day to stay in. I birded Centennial (1 Bald eagle....no waterfowl!)

Meadowbrook ...great sparrows. A pair of Wood Ducks and Yellow-rumped Warbler. Swamps are really getting gorgeous! http://flic.kr/p/e35kyh

Gwynn Acres .... 2 Rusty Blackbirds....they have been there since Howard found them a few days ago.

Just my thoughts on Chipping Sparrows here in Howard. They are infrequent over-wintering birds. I rarely see them although I know a few flocks are around. Some years they seem to stay in better numbers. This year I have only seen 3 for my overwinter total. Considering I spend 99% of my time looking at sparrows Id count them as fairly unusual in the winter. I also have only seen winter plumage.
