Lisa,

It's very close to Shad Landing. Here's a link to a web page that
includes the eBird google gadget for Maryland:

http://www.montgomerybirdclub.org/LocalBirds.php

You can find the Avocet sighting (currently near the top) on the gadget
which is in the box on the right-hand side of the page. Click on the
word "map" next to the sighting, and you will be transferred to a Google
map showing the location of Truitt's Landing.

You might look at the text on the left on the initial web page (the one
with the gadget) as well. It gives some information about how to find
birds and locations using eBird. It is focused on Montgomery County,
but what is said there applies equally to any Maryland county.

Good birding!
