Subject: [MDBirding] Crows (please reply off-list)

I am already getting some negative comments to my post because some folks feel that too many crows will raid the nests of other songbirds and kill the young. Well, there historically has been a lot of crows in my valley due to the agricultural nature of this part of Washington County, so I do not agree for MY property. Of course, I would never try to attract crows to an area that did not have them before. I love corvids but I also love all songbirds.

> It's cold, icy and foggy here at Broken Wallet Farm. But the American Crows are vey happy at our crow stand. I put extra food out there last night for them. For the first time in recent memory, we have an over abundance of these wonderful corvids.
