The Robins referred to in the Carolins Bird Club page is indeed Chan. What an amazing man. I miss doing the Triadelphia count with him. I remember one of my first personal encounters with Chan during a field trip while at the 1994 MOS conference - it was a "birding blitz" type of carpool through Harford (maybe also Cecil?... my memory banks are a bit corrupted) county and Chan was in the lead in his ancient car - we could hardly keep up! Chan taught me so much on that one brief couple of hours about learning bird songs. I still remember all of that when I am out in the field listening... not sighting because those pesky birds are craftier than I am.
Good Birding,
