Subject: [MDBirding] SNIPE in St Marys County - different location

There were 7 Wilson's Snipe in the wet fields to the right of the entrance
gate to Sotterley Plantation on Saturday night @7:30. They all flushed at
once as I approached, but once I backed off, they stopped circling overhead
and dropped back into the same wet patch. If you want to check to see if
they are hanging around, park at the entrance gate, walk to the right. Look
for the rain fed puddle just beyond the cattle fence. Then walk towards the
adjacent marshy area on the Sotterley side of the fence. They were in
there. Good birding. David
