I just returned from British Columbia (Whistler area) and had a few chances to do some birding. With snow all over, the best I could come up with were...lots of crows and ravens and whiskey jacks. I did see a flicker of some type, some gold finches and several song sparrows (northwest variety). They were much darker. But I never did find the ptarmigans that I was hoping to see. If it counts, I did see a moose. :)
