Some recent arrivals:
3/11: Osprey 3/13: Northern Shoveler 3/15: Great Egret, Eastern Phoebe 3/19: Greater Yellowlegs (Marcia B.) 3/20: Tree Swallow 3/21: Pectoral Sandpiper (one day wonder) 3/25: Rusty Blackbirds 3/28: Snowy Egret (foraging this morning, already took off towards Ft. Smallwood)
Green-winged Teal were inconsistently seen this winter, but there have been upwards of 15-20 of them in the wetlands over the past week and are easily seen. No Little Blue Herons yet.
I also had 3 Caspian Terns at Diamond Point Road in Back River yesterday. They were flagged (early) on eBird. Despite scanning for over an hour from 3 vantage points, I did not relocate the Little Gull.
