Hi all,
I photographed what I thought may be a possible candidate for Black-capped Chickadee in Calvert Co. this morning. The bird was singing a slower than typical song for Carolina and was alone, along the west perimeter of the Grays Road Dog Park in Prince Frederick. Here's the link to my eBird report with a couple photos...please leave comments/opinions on the bird's ID. http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S13550634 If anybody's in the area and wants to look for him, I put the marker on the exact spot along the path that runs to the left of the fenced in area from the parking lot. He was roughly half way back the path. He responded to both Carolina and Black-capped calls if you have a tape.
