It was a beautiful day to be birding in western Maryland. Waterfowl were
on the move, and I saw my first Northern Rough-winged Swallow of the year.
Highlights below.

Big Pool, Washington County

1 Greater Scaup with 68 Lessers.
1 Pied-billed Grebe
1 Osprey
1 Northern Rough-winged Swallow

Rocky Gap, Allegany County

10 Common Loons
6 Horned Grebes
1 Pied-billed Grebe
4 Red-breasted Mergansers
1 Redhead
1 Blue-winged Teal
1 Tree Swallow

North Branch, Allegany County

10 Blue-winged Teal
2 Wood Ducks
1 Mourning Cloak
