Hi Everyone,
Twelve of us, including Mary Huebner from Allegany Co and Anna Urciolo from Montgomery Co, enjoyed the great weather and plenty of birds during today's Tri-County Bird Club trip to Somerset County.
We left the Ward Museum in Salisbury at 7:40 am, and the last two standing (Anna and I) returned there at 8:40 pm. Proper use of a beautiful day!
We visited Rumbly Point, Crisfield, Fairmount WMA, Rumbley, Fleming Mill Pond Rd, Messick Rd, Deal Island WMA, and the Chance Inlet, finishing with 93 species for the day.
Highlights included:
Blue-winged Teal--east impoundment at Fairmount WMA and both Green Dumpster and Riley Roberts Rds in the Deal Island WMA
Ring-necked Duck--6 in the pond at the beginning of Rumbly Point Rd
Horned Grebe--an incredible 205 at Rumbly Point
