Raptor Observations:
Waves of Turkey Vultures during most of the day; good showing on non-vultures, especially Ospreys; both Harriers were adult males; 7 other Bald Eagles of various ages

Non-raptor Observations:
First of the spring: Northern Rough-winged Swallow (1), Eastern Phoebe (8), Chipping sparrow (1); Great Egret (1). Also 56 Tundra Swans heading north; 72 Horned Grebes

Site Description
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at the
mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best winds are
from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays.
