Went on a walk here today in the rain after eating at a relatives and saw a bunch of stuff the most interesting being some sort of sandpiper I saw at the far end of the pond. It was around a couple Killdeer probing for stuff on the edge of the water. It had dark legs and the bill was all black and slightly downcurved. I think that could make it a Dunlin? That's my ID for now. Looked like nonbreeding plumage
It looks like whatever this was is rare according to Ebird so thought I would pass it along here in case anyone wants to weigh in or check real quick.
Also I saw two Eastern Meadowlarks in the field on the way in, as well as a couple Kestrels and some other stuff. Pretty active. Good day out in the rain.
