Hi All, Nancy and I will be leading an all-day Kent County Bird Club trip to the wetlands and pinelands south of Cambridge, starting with Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge on Saturday 6 April. We expect to see lots of waterfowl and eagles, Brown-headed Nuthatch, harriers and other raptors (and a fair chance for American White Pelican), and early spring migrants such as swallows, kinglets, & Pine Warbler.
We will meet folks in Kent County at the Dollar General parking lot across from the intersection of Spring St. and MD-213 in Chestertown at 8:00 AM. We will also be making a stop at the junction of MD-404 and US-50 ca. 8:50 AM. Anyone who wishes to meet us south of Chestertown should contact Nancy and I at the phone number or e-mail listed in the signature below.
Bring lunch and snacks and dress appropriately for this trip that will continue until 3:00 PM. At this date it's a little hard to predict what the weather may be, so keep an eye on the forecast. We hope to see some of you on Saturday.
