Hi All,
Two kinda-sorta notable bird sightings today. I was at Clifton Park/Golf Course today trying to practice in the wind (not a wise move) and I had my FOY PURPLE MARTIN flyover. I didn't get a great look, but it was big and dark and certainly sounded the part. EBird didn't flag it so I guess this isn't all that early.
The other is not so much an interesting bird, but an interesting multitude of a bird. Patterson Park was filled with EASTERN PHOEBES today. I counted at least a dozen, but at one point there were at least half that number calling in one spot, so I'm sure I missed some.
Good Birding!
