Birded from around 5 to 6:30 this afternoon. There were large numbers of swallows, mostly Rough-winged, lesser numbers of Tree, flying over the Boundary Channel and at Kenilworth Park. There were 5 Killdeer on a mud island in the Boundary Channel just above the footbridge. At Hains Point, there were 2 breeding plumaged Horned Grebes and at least 3 female Red-breasted Mergansers.
