Weather:
Mostly sunny; 51-61 degrees; fair visibility with haze; winds out of the NNW, 10-13 mph, gusting to 21 mph

Raptor Observations:
Modest flight today after the rain of last night and this morning. An Osprey was apparently bathing in the pond. At least seven times it dove into the water from a low height, completely submerging, then splashing about and then lifting up out of the water and into the air. Finally, it flew to a tree, seemingly to dry out.

Site Description
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at the
mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best winds are
from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays.
