Jane Kostenko and I had docent duty at the Great Brick Chapel in Historic St. Mary's City (St. Mary's County) this afternoon. We stopped by a private community where a friend has water access and scanned for pelicans. The pound net there was loaded to the gills with Double-crested Cormorants with a couple of Great Cormorants, 10 Osprey a mix of gulls and 4 Brown Pelicans. No American White Pelicans were to be seen either at the nets or the set of poles closer to the Elms beaches. We stopped by again in the afternoon and again, no AMWPs. D'oh.
