Yesterday I visited the McKeldin Area of Patapsco Valley State Park in the morning. There were few birds to be seen. The only non-resident species I found were four Phoebes, two Louisiana Waterthrushes, and some Robins, White-throats, and Cowbirds. During a brief stop at Piney Run Park in the afternoon I saw 2 Ruddy Ducks, 3 Common Loons, 4 Pied-billed Grebes, 3 Horned Grebes, 2 DC Cormorants, 1 Osprey, 1 adult Bald Eagle, and 1 Bonaparte's Gull. There was no activity at the eagle nest.
