I heard the owl at the same time you did last night. This is also the first night I've had the windows open after dinner since ... October?
Since I know our windows will be open tonight, I'll keep an ear out for the owl. Last winter it spent many nights calling from or very close to my street, and we heard it through closed windows as well as open windows.
