Same in the Palisades where I work in NW DC. Loads of Fish crows, only a few American. At home in Rohrersville, we have a resurgence of American crows. They find a haven on our property (approx. 4 acres) and I wholeheartedly welcome them. Some of the elder crows actually recognize me. Not the canine type or feline domesticated pet type of recognition, either. They actually know my routines and call to me and their cohorts while I am feeding at night this time of year (13 various bird feeders and one huge crow feeding station).
