Partly to mostly cloudy becoming mostly sunny near the end of the day; 52 to a toasty 84 degrees; fair visibility with some haze; winds westerly, starting out southwesterly and ending northwesterly

Raptor Observations:
13 species; first Broadwings of the season; flight picked up when the winds shifted to the northwest; one Peregrine Falcon stooped on another; Osprey/Bald Eagle confrontation; local Ospreys have been gathering nesting material

Non-raptor Observations:
First of the season: Little Blue Heron (1), Black-crowned Night-Heron (1), Blue-gray Gnatcatcher (2), hummingbird sp. Also a few butterflies and dragonflies

Site Description
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at the
mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best winds are
from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays.
