Spent the day in the county looking for birds Found Bloodroot and Hepatica in full glory. http://flic.kr/p/ea4Uyx

Close encounters with a young Black Rat Snake and Garter...American Toad explosion! More Red-backed salamanders than I could count and one Northern Red. http://flic.kr/p/ea4ULe

Some firsts for the year were Chimney Swift, Solitary Sandpiper and American Bittern. Horned larks and Meadowlarks singing so beautifully.

To top the day off I found three Common Green Darners....one very close up and personal http://flic.kr/p/eaaAmS
