More arrivals:

4/8: Spotted Sandpiper, found by Leslie Starr and John Dennehy; early, and gone by noon

4/9: Blue-gray Gnatcatcher

4/11: Common Yellowthroat, Lesser Black-backed Gull, and the return of the Caspian Terns to the north cell (I counted 9)

4/12: Mini-fallout after this morning's rain. 2 Northern Parulas and 1 Bank Swallow were first of year (FOY) here, and the Virginia Rails have returned to the wetlands after being frozen out. Lots of other songbirds singing along the road and good numbers of swallows foraging in the wetlands. Myrtle Warblers are in much higher numbers, and included the first breeding-plumaged males I've seen this year.
