MD Birders:
Since we are just entering "the season," a quick reminder ... at our 2012 Annual Meeting (over a year ago), the MD/DC Records Committee consider a proposal to remove White-faced Ibis from its Review List. However, the committee decided to retain it on the list. Thus far, the species has been seen almost exclusively in coastal Worcester County and the issue of hybrid Glossy x White-faced Ibis loom larger and larger.
So, White-faced Ibis in Maryland is still reviewable ... reports and photos are welcome. Special attention should be paid to identifying and eliminating potential hybrids.
Thanks.
Phil
PS. Two more Purple Finches (males) just showed up at our feeders.
