I'd like to amend my previous post. I was delighted to have three red-breasted nuthatches at my feeder yesterday afternoon. Until they start wearing name tags, I just won't know if there are 1, 2 or 3 until I see them all at once. This was a first.
Word is out - offer split peanuts and the nuthatches will have a party in your yard.
