Arrived to a very quiet park at midmorn and spent a careful 2 hr circuit to maximize sightings. Sadly, no warblers or Night Herons.
Best sightings: Blue-headed Vireo; Barred Owl and both Kinglets. Total spp: 16.
Relative dearth of birds compensated somewhat with nice showing of spring flowers: Trout Lily, Toothwort, Spring Beauty, Bloodroot, Rue Anemone, Bog and Common Blue Violets. Also, the omnipresent but questionable yellow carpeting of the Lesser Celandine.
