A Least Bittern was singing from the southeast portion of Black Marsh at North Point State Park last night from my arrival (6:00ish) until about 6:45. Other good birds included Little Blue Heron, Virginia Rail, Common Yellowthroat, and some late-ish Golden-crowned Kinglets. Heidi Trasatti and I had an American Bittern here on 4/8/2013 as well. Definitely worth checking out, but only in mornings or evenings; afternoons are usually slow and underwhelming.
