Subject: [MDBirding] Montgomery Bird Club meeting this Wednesday, 4/17
Hi, everyone,

The Montgomery Bird Club will meet this Wednesday, April 17. Gail Mackiernan will present a program on The Philippines. The Philippines encompasses 7,100 islands and, because of its isolation, hosts almost 200 species of birds found nowhere else in the world. However, continuing loss of forest has made many of them rare and hard-to-locate. Gail will talk about her recent trip to three of the largest islands in search of such mega birds as Philippine Eagle, Palawan Peacock Pheasant, and Azure-breasted Pitta.

Our meetings are held at the Potomac Presbyterian Church, 10301 River Road in Potomac, MD. Doors open at 7:00 p.m., refreshements at 7:30 and the meeting begins at 8:00

All are welcome.
