A GREAT CRESTED FLYCATCHER (FOY) was calling and seen this morning along the stretch of Rock Creek behind the Amazonia building at the zoo. eBird shows this sighting to be only 1 day later than my first record of this species in 2012.
Otherwise, a fairly quiet morning for migrants except for several Yellow-rumps, Ruby-crowned Kinglets, and a FOY House Wren singing near Tregaron Conservancy.
