Weather:
Mostly cloudy, almost overcast with lingering light low-level fog; 68-72 degrees; fair visibility; winds light until the last half-hour when they increased to 15 mph. Direction tended to be from the NNE.

Raptor Observations:
Few migrants with the unfavorable weather conditions

Non-raptor Observations:
Red-throated Loon; 18 Common Loons sitting offshore; 5 Red-breasted Mergansers; 47 Horned Grebes; at least 10 Palm Warblers; Chipping, Field, Savannah, Song, Swamp, and White-throated Sparrows, with the last numbering about 100. Blue Jays and American Goldfinches on the move.

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays.
