Subject: [MDBirding] St. Mary's - Blue Grosbeak, Pectoral Sandpiper
Patty Craig reported a BLUE GROSBEAK and 5 PECTORAL SANDPIPERS on Beachville Rd. this morning around 9:15. I arrived about an hour later and was able to see both the grosbeak and all 5 sandpipers. There was also a decent sized flock of AMERICAN PIPIT (about 25 birds) in the same field as the sandpipers. According to eBird, the grosbeak is early. I was not aware, or else I would have tried to get photographs. I also had FOY COMMON YELLOWTHROAT at Historic St. Mary's City, and FOY PRAIRIE WARBLER and OVENBIRD on the college campus today.
